Costumed Athletes “Dash” to Support the PCA

We had beautiful weather and a great turnout for the 2021 Monster Dash on October 16, 2021! After a 2020 hiatus, we were excited to welcome back 95 runners and walkers to this year’s event. Zombies, insects, hippies, pumpkins, ballerinas and other costume-clad athletes gathered to run or walk the 5 kilometer or 10 kilometer routes that led participants through Mound View Park and the PCA trail. Top finishers in each age group were awarded with pumpkin prizes at the end of the event.

Special thanks goes to the PCA Board members and Platteville High School Cross Country team who helped with pre-race preparation and setup, registration and timing. A big thanks also goes to the corporate sponsors who made the race possible. Thanks to participants and donors, the event brought in approximately $3,300 for the Platteville Community Arboretum!
