Podstawa Joins PCA Board of Directors

After two years helping to maintain the trail, volunteer Kevin Podstawa is stepping into a board of directors role with the Platteville Community Arboretum.

Podstawa, a civil engineer, enjoys riding his bike or walking the trail because of the scenery. “I like being surrounded by the natural beauty of the driftless area,” Podstawa said. “I specifically enjoy the sections of the trail that run along the creek.”

His continuous use of the trail and desire to give back led him to volunteer with PCA. “I spent two years helping maintain the trail and I wanted to be more involved in the direction the arboretum took,” Podstawa said. “Plus, the fellow board members are great to work with.” Kevin and his girlfriend, Caitlin McBeth, have four children: Aria and Harper Podstawa and Brynlee and Beckett Berkesch.

“When I’m not helping with the PCA or working, I like to spend time playing games with my children, disc golfing at Westview or the campus, woodworking and epoxy pouring and cooking/grilling/baking,” Podstawa said.
